João Miguel is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Brasília (UnB), and a member of the Knowledges, Technologies and Publics (CTP/UnB) research group. His research discusses concepts and approaches of health that inform public policies and non-governmental initiatives in the context of the Amazon forest, particularly considering the notion of risk and the environment/health relations.
