Parastou Ghazi is pursuing an MSc in epidemiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Her interest in Planetary Health spans her academic, professional, and personal involvements, and includes her coverage of environmental health issues affecting the health of residents in her community as a reporter for her college newspaper, her work on health resilience in contexts afflicted by natural disasters as a researcher at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the ample time she spends running, cycling, and backpacking outdoors. She hopes to deepen her knowledge of principles and methods in Planetary Health for application to her future research in global public health.
