Studying Global Health at different universities across Europe, and completing an internship at the Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, has allowed Roos to review and explore the role of decolonization and One Health on our perceptions of health, and has re-emphasized the importance to view something as interdisciplinary as health, as a subject that stretches further than merely ‘human health’. From researching the link between dengue virus and climate change in Nepal, to joining the Student-led initiative of Eye on Global Health, Roos is exploring different angles of Planetary Health. Through joining PHA, she's hoping to build out a Planetary Health Alliance Hub, to strengthen planetary health connections across universities and internally inspire students to enhance their engagement with planetary health.
