Winnifred Akello is a final year, undergraduate veterinary medicine student at Makerere University, passionate about health, education,  climate action and sustainability. When she learnt of the interconnectedness of human health and the health of the planet, she started immersing herself in the emerging field of planetary health. She is a one health advocate, who believes in togetherness is key to solving the different global problems. She aspires to pursue a career in veterinary epidemiology and public health.
