AUT incorporates Planetary Health into its work through the strategic statement: “We improve the health and wellbeing of people and planet, creating impact through applied and transformational education and research.” At AUT, Planetary Health is threaded through learning, teaching, research, partnerships, and how we operate our on-campus facilities. This commitment to planetary health: improving the health and wellbeing of people and planet will extend to AUT’s collaborations with the Planetary Health community both across the Oceania region and globally. We seek mutually beneficial exchange of energy and expertise for Planetary Health where people and planet flourish locally, regionally and globally.

The Unit of Hygiene at the University of Pavia integrates Planetary Health concepts into its specialized training of MD residents, PhD students, and researchers, emphasising the interconnections among human, animal, and environmental well-being. We coordinate a national PhD programme in One Health approaches to infectious diseases and life science research, conduct collaborative research projects, and develop educational initiatives such as summer schools to foster interdisciplinary expertise. By working closely with the Planetary Health Alliance community, we strive to expand our global reach, share resources, and develop innovative solutions to pressing health challenges. We are committed to strengthening evidence-based strategies that inform policy and practice, ensuring a healthier future for our planet and its populations.

We want to collaborate with Planetary Health principles to enhance our educational and professional development programs. This includes hosting workshops, webinars, seminars, hands on training and community forums that focus on the interconnectedness of human and environmental health, climate resilience, and sustainable development. By engaging students, professionals, and local leaders, we aim to foster a new generation of Planetary Health advocates equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical tools.

Family physicians consider it one of their core tasks to maintain and improve their patients’ health in a comprehensive sense, which includes Planetary Health and the sustainability of our planet. Family physicians, having access to most of the population, can increase our population’s awareness of problems which threaten both individual health and the planet, promote behaviour changes, and empower individuals to live a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. HKCFP is committed to advancing and sharing knowledge of the fundamental scientific and social processes that sustain our lives and our planet.

Our organization, the Centro de Comunicación de las Ciencias at Universidad Autónoma de Chile, is committed to advancing Planetary Health through accessible science communication, education, and community engagement. We integrate Planetary Health into our work by conducting research, publishing materials, and organizing events that address the interconnectedness of human health, ecosystems, and climate change. As part of the UNESCO Chair on Scientific Education for Citizenship, we strive to foster public understanding of Planetary Health through education initiatives aimed at diverse audiences. By joining the Planetary Health Alliance, we aim to collaborate with global and regional experts, share knowledge, and contribute to advancing Planetary Health in Latin America. We look forward to engaging with the Alliance’s network to exchange ideas, enhance our initiatives, and strengthen our collective impact on creating a healthier planet.

ESSRG incorporates planetary health perspectives into its work by focusing on the interconnectedness of human health, ecological resilience and social justice. Our approach ties the health of the planet to the well-being of individuals and communities, reflecting our commitment to addressing the complex socio-ecological challenges, cultivating cross-boundary research in a transdisciplinary fashion, engaging in multi-actor democratic dialogue with natural and social sciences and other knowledge systems.

A través de sus 5 líneas de acción, proyecto Campus Naturaleza se compromete colaborar con la Salud Planetaria:
Conservación in situ: Se protegerán los últimos remanentes de bosque caducifolio de Concepción que existen en las zonas adyacentes al Campus Patrimonial UdeC. Se implementarán senderos para educación ambiental, recreación y salud mental, además de promover el trabajo inter y transdisciplinario.
Conservación ex situ: Se resguardará material genético vivo de especies amenazadas en Chile, a través de un jardín botánico, cuya implementación se certificará por medio de normativas internacionales.
Restauración ecológica: Es una solución basada en la propia naturaleza, en el que se utiliza un ecosistema de referencia que sirve como guía para asistir a un ecosistema nativo boscoso o acuático en su trayectoria de recuperación.
Salud integral y recreación: Se promoverá la educación e interacción de las personas con el entorno natural, a través de terapias basadas en la naturaleza, como los baños de bosque, y actividades recreativas al aire libre disponibles para la comunidad.
Educación ambiental biocultural y ciencia ciudadana: el contacto permanente con la naturaleza trae beneficios a las personas, relacionado no solo con la condición física, sino con la salud mental y la salud social. Conocer es cuidar, cuidar es conservar la biodiversidad, y para ello promovemos actividades de educación ambiental para la comunidad universitaria y local de Concepción.

FCCA and PHA are committed to integrating the clinician’s voice and planetary health into all our educational, advocacy, and community outreach efforts. Our collaboration will expand awareness and understanding of the health impacts of climate change, increase research opportunities, and improve dissemination of relevant findings, as we amplify advocacy for equitable climate and health solutions to drive meaningful action.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is dedicated to embedding sustainability into its institutional DNA, as articulated in our Sustainability Blueprint 2030. This comprehensive plan outlines strategic initiatives aimed at achieving a Net Zero Carbon Campus and enhancing ecosystem resilience. In alignment with these objectives, UTM is committed to integrating planetary health principles across our education, research, and community engagement activities. We actively seek collaboration with the Planetary Health community to co-develop innovative solutions that address the complex interconnections between human health and environmental sustainability, thereby contributing meaningfully to global sustainable development goals.

Studio ESEM is passionate about advancing the mission of the Planetary Health Alliance and its stakeholders to advance the need for planetary health globally.

Our digital communications and place-based storytelling programs embed the principles and philosophy of planetary health, linking human and more-than-human wellbeing as core values across our work.

Working across the Oceania region, Studio ESEM, along with its public space engagement platform STORYBOX, seek to promote the mandate of the Planetary Health Alliance, including raising community awareness of the connections between human health and ecological health through our digital programs, promote stronger public space measurement and evaluation frameworks underpinned by concepts of Planetary Health, and facilitating knowledge-sharing across our partnership network.

The Maryland Forestry Foundation pledges to collaborate with the Alliance to share and expand its programs to expand forest cover on private lands and provide learning experiences for high school studentsnts to consider careers in natural resources and urban forestry. Further, we will incorporate examples of the alliance’s work in our statewide monthly webinar series and, to the extent possible, draw on members as a resource for our education and outreach training for local volunteers. We already draw heavily on science to describe the ecological service benefits of forest cover for both landowners and citizens as incentivizes for good stewardship.

Burnet Institute is committed to advancing Planetary Health by integrating climate resilience and environmental sustainability into its global health research and programs. Our work in infectious disease surveillance, health security, and maternal and child health acknowledges the profound impact of climate change on health outcomes, particularly in the Pacific and Southeast Asia. Through collaboration with the Planetary Health Alliance, we aim to strengthen evidence-based, climate-informed health interventions, advocate for sustainable health policies, and contribute to One Health approaches that address the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. By engaging with PHA’s network, we seek to foster knowledge exchange, joint research, and policy innovation that supports climate-adaptive, resilient health systems worldwide.
