Education about Planetary Health is expanding rapidly, with new courses, lecture series, degree programs, faculty positions, and cross-university initiatives emerging worldwide. Today, over 20 university-level centers are fully dedicated to Planetary Health. The Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) is committed to supporting and amplifying these efforts, fostering global collaboration among students and educators to share and co-create resources that connect knowledge with impactful action. Foundational Documents of Planetary Health Education

The Planetary Health Education Framework, the São Paulo Declaration on Planetary Health, and the Planetary Health Roadmap and Action Plan are recognized as key background information for both learning and teaching in this field and movement.

  • The Planetary Health Education Framework provides a common foundational language and serves as a cornerstone for diverse education strategies. It was created through a transdisciplinary and international collaboration.
  • The São Paulo Declaration represents a shared vision for Planetary Health Education. It calls for the Great Transition, a fundamental shift in how we live.
