Director of Leadership Giving

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is hiring a Director of Leadership Giving (DLG) for the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health (JHIPH), a University-wide initiative that brings together experts across disciplines to address the impacts of global environmental change on human health. The DLG will play a central role in shaping and executing the Institute’s fundraising strategy, focusing on cultivating individual donors and supporting leadership in securing foundation and corporate grants. As part of the Institute’s leadership team, the DLG will also collaborate to advance the mission of the Planetary Health Alliance.

The DLG will oversee annual, major, and principal gift efforts. This role requires the ability to work across departments and donor audiences, offering strategic guidance on philanthropic efforts while fostering a collaborative, equity-driven culture. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in individual fundraising, comfort navigating complex academic institutions, and a team-oriented approach to achieving shared goals in support of Planetary Health. Located in Baltimore with a hybrid schedule at the School of Medicine.

Marketing & Communications Manager

Join the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) as our Marketing & Communications Manager and help shape the global narrative around the Earth crisis through strategic communication! In this role, you’ll develop and implement multi-channel strategies that highlight Planetary Health approaches to society’s most urgent challenges. You’ll create compelling content, manage media relations, lead communications for events including the Planetary Health Annual Meeting, and collaborate with JHIPH’s Communications team while supervising staff. Located in Washington DC with a hybrid schedule at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center.
