Nursing and climate mitigation: Decarbonization. American Journal of Nursing.

If health care were a nation, it would be globally ranked fifth in the emission of greenhouse gasses. From mitigation and adaptation, to advocacy, all health professionals have a role to play in decarbonization. As the largest and most trusted health profession, nurses can play a key role in addressing the root causes of climate change and protecting patients and populations from the severe health impacts already taking place.
