Planetary Health Working Groups

The AI@WG Working Group explores how technological and social innovation—especially artificial intelligence—can be harnessed or redirected to strengthen the Planetary Health movement. Grounded in the values of equity, responsibility, and regeneration, the group seeks to ensure that innovation serves as a means to an end: the flourishing of people and the planet. Through its ProSocial AI initiative—promoting AI systems that are tailored, trained, tested and targeted to bring out the best in and for people and planet—the Working Group promotes a positive, pragmatic vision that aligns the rapid momentum of AI with the urgency of Planetary Health. It aims to identify emerging opportunities and risks, bridge high-tech and grassroots innovations, and develop guiding principles for inclusive, values-driven technological progress.
