Advancing the Global Movement

2025 in Review

In 2025, the Planetary Health Alliance celebrated its tenth anniversary by expanding its global membership to over 565 organizations, launching the Planetary Health Youth Prize, deepening partnerships through new Regional Hubs, and reinforcing its commitment to impactful policy engagement and education in response to the Earth crisis.

Letter from Leadership

The Planetary Health Alliance commemorated our tenth anniversary in December. In the face of escalating disruption to Earth’s life-support systems and the resulting global health impacts, the Alliance has remained steadfast in its mission to meet the Earth crisis with clarity, collaboration, and urgency.

Our anniversary year underscored both how far this movement has come and the momentum we carry into the decade ahead. Our membership officially surpassed 565 organizations across over 80 countries—reflecting a diverse, committed community advancing research, policy, practice, and advocacy. This year also showcased an energized next generation of Planetary Health leaders.

We launched the first Planetary Health Youth Prize to celebrate bold, creative solutions from young innovators. And, across 30 institutions, our 56 Campus Ambassadors planted trees, hosted workshops, and launched digital campaigns to advance local understanding of Planetary Health.

Looking ahead, our priorities are clear. With the release of our Three-Year Strategic Plan, we aim to expand Planetary Health education, strengthen global policy and governance, and accelerate movement building across sectors and regions—all towards achieving the Great Transition. We are deeply grateful to our members, partners, donors, and staff for their dedication and leadership. Together, we are building a healthier, more just, and more resilient future for all.
