Timoci (Jim) is a Conservation Scientist and the Coordinator of the Pacific Planetary Health Research Centre (PPHRC), situated within the Fiji Institute of Pacific Health Research (FIPHR) at Fiji National University (FNU). With over a decade of experience in public health research, Jim’s expertise spans WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), climate change adaptation, biodiversity, and disaster risk resilience across the Pacific. As the lead for WISH-Pacific fieldwork and stakeholder engagement, he facilitates the community consultation processes essential for designing and implementing regional interventions. Jim is a strong advocate for integrating traditional environmental knowledge with modern scientific technology to strengthen natural resource management and climate resilience.
