Samuel Nullai Anak Sawa

Samuel Nullai is a Research Analyst (Education Officer) at the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University, where he supports work on planetary health education, youth diplomacy training and climate emotions and wellbeing. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.

An Iban Indigenous youth from Sarawak, Samuel advocates for learning from Indigenous communities and perspectives, bridging science and Indigenous knowledge. He is an alumnus of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), having completed an academic residency at Northern Arizona University on civic engagement and Indigenous issues.

One question guides his work: what will shift our mindsets and behaviours enough to repair our relationship with the planet, so that all living beings can flourish together.
