Asimwe is a fourth year medical student at Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences in Mwanza, Tanzania. She is a passionate advocate for planetary health who aspires to understand the human health, non- living organisms and Earth's natural system in depth. Her interest in this field was sparked by witnessing the devastating effects of climate change and environmental degradation on human health during her travels to vulnerable communities around her country. She is committed to promoting sustainable practices and policies that prioritize the health of both people and the planet.
