Cindy Xie is an undergrad studying urban planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who hopes to contribute to the field of planetary health as a community-driven researcher, storyteller, and humanist. She is currently a staff writer at The Yappie, a youth-led newsroom covering Asian American and Pacific Islander politics. In the past, she has worked with the Comunidades Enraizadas Community Land Trust, at the National Institutes of Health as a Civic Digital Fellow, and at the World Wildlife Fund U.S. Markets Institute. Her personal interests include creative writing, singing, fashion, and meditation.
