Cristina Arnés Sanz

Cristina is a Master of Public Health student at the Yale School of Public Health, in the Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases department with a concentration on Climate Change and Health. Originally from Spain, she completed her Pharmacy degree at the Complutense University of Madrid and later worked as a research assistant in the Climate-Sensitive Infectious Diseases lab at Heidelberg University in Germany. Cristina is passionate about the interconnection of human, animal and environmental health, in the context of global environmental change. She uses Planetary Health lenses in her role as the Focal Point for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Region for the UN Major Group of Children and Youth. She continues her advocacy efforts on Planetary Health at the Youth4Health Network of WHO-Europe and the Health Working Group of YOUNGO (the Youth Constituency for the UNFCCC).
