Francesca Zanni
2024 and 2023 PHCAFrancesca Zanni is a medical resident in Public Health at the University of Bologna (Italy) who holds a medical degree from the University of Bologna, a Masters Degree in Public Health from Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) and a graduate certificate in Environmental Humanities from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). She has a knack for communication, which led her to work in communication both nationally and internationally, learning and experimenting the use of various media: online TVs, blogs, magazines, conferences and seminars, social media. This passion led her to work as the Communication Lead at the European Network of Medical Residents in Public Health (EuroNet MRPH), an organisation counting more than 2000 residents and 10 European member countries.
Francesca believes the climate crisis is also a crisis of the imagination, in that we are currently unable to grasp the scale and violence of climatic changes that will come. As a PHCA, she is determined to further develop her communication skills in the specific field of climate change, to contribute to making the challenges ahead thinkable, while still being able to convey hope.
