Impact of rising CO2 on food security and human health risks and potential adaptation strategies. Global Change Biology.

This review draws on decades of CO₂ enrichment experiments to show that while rising CO₂ can increase crop yields, it also reduces nutritional quality, elevates toxin-related health risks, and exacerbates food insecurity without targeted adaptation strategies.
