As an intergovernmental institution training the next generation of international public health civil servants and leaders for several countries, EUCLID is looking forward to work work with the PH network in terms of curriculum and joint initiatives.

The European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) is an international not-for-profit association established in Belgium. Our mission is to advocate for the protection and improvement of public health in Europe, both via health policies and across all other relevant policy areas that have an impact on health. EPHA serves as a change agent by facilitating the participation of our diverse member organisations, that include civil society organisations, groups of health professionals and public health actors. Through a multi-sectoral approach we aim to collaborate with the PHA to respond to cross-border health threats such as climate change, air pollution and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). As such, this includes strongly advocating for Planetary Health, whilst upholding key PHA values such as science-driven, justice and equity.

The European Public Health Association, or EUPHA in short, is an umbrella organisation for public health associations and institutes in Europe. The EUPHA Environment and health section aims to promote and strengthen research in the field of Environment and Health, Planetary Health, One health, Global Health. The Section provides a platform for the exchange of information between policymakers, practitioners and researchers working on environment and health and also Planetary health.

We are confident that this collaboration will help improve our educational system to implement what we name as COUVERTURE SANTE UNIVERSELLE, for accessibility of more vulnerable populations to good health. The weakness of our health system will learn more from others and where there is a will, there is a way.

We are focused on saving nature for people. My work as a Pandemic Prevention Fellow is specifically focused on preventing pathogen spillover from wildlife to people. I also work on connecting the range of conservation our organization does, from climate change mitigation to preventing loss of biodiversity, to health outcomes.

We are looking to partner with other organizations to addressing the underlying drivers threats to Planetary Health, including through direct focus on preventing extinction, through harnessing innovation and technology. We are looking for partners to solve the neglected diagnostics problem through translation of lab based assays for biosurveillance to the field, through addressing drivers of extinction and climate change through engineering new monitoring systems and replacements, transforming corporate behavior, and through direct action for conservation.

The Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) is a rapidly growing Washington, DC based organization of over 175 academic institutions and other organizations from around the world engaged in addressing global health challenges. CUGH supports academic institutions and partners to improve the wellbeing of people and the planet through education, research, service, and advocacy.

CORE Group’s mission to improve and expand community health practices for underserved populations, especially women, children, and adolescents, cannot be achieved if the health of the planet is not improved, communities’ health is Planetary Health; and vice-versa.

We are dedicated to the creation, dissemination, and implementation of scientific knowledge to improve the health and well-being of animals and people.

The nature of our ever-changing global community, ”including both people and animals within the environment,” requires a comprehensive systems approach to public health to prevent disease, promote health, and improve the quality of life of the planet’s population as a whole. A huge part of the research, work, and education that takes place across the Cornell University’s diverse body is in the realm of public health including the health of humans, animals, the environment, and our planet as a whole.

Actuemos is a non-profit organization that works to promote healthy and sustainable food systems, developing studies, research projects and implementing practical programs to promote proper nutrition and a healthy food culture. Our purpose is to improve human and Planetary Health, so we are committed to raising awareness and taking action for present and future generations.

Our members span a wide range of expertise related to food systems, including chefs, nutritionists, natural and social science academics, and sustainability and consumer rights professionals. Our main characteristic is to bring together a high-level networking force with collaborators both in Chile and globally.

The Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health (CII) is committed to contributing to Planetary Health actions in the region of Eastern Mediterranean and beyond. The CII mission to conduct research, educational and outreach activities that focus on the influence of environment on non-communicable disease patterns is well aligned with the priorities of the Planetary Health movement around the globe.

Through person-to-person teaching and opportunities to create and apply knowledge on campus and across the globe, Dartmouth instills a love of learning among its students and empowers them for a lifetime of leadership.

De Duurzame Verpleegkundige aims to make PH part of the regular nursing curriculum and refresher training in the Netherlands. We advocate to change the professional curriculum, and nurses oath. We wish to share knowledge, participate in activities in the PHA Regional Hub network and engage in advocacy. We want to create programs for local nursing universities and create opportunities for students and professionals to get engaged in PH.

Deakin University is excited to coordinate and link up existing networks and Planetary Health efforts in the Oceania region. We are committed to promoting understanding of and action on combined ecological and social changes that impact PH, focusing on interconnectedness/systems thinking and Indigenous knowledges (e.g. Tadra Vanua).

The Department of Medicine and Health Science of the University of Sonora is committed to “bonum facere”, acting locally but thinking globally. Medical doctors of the 21st century have to be open to act in a world that becomes a single big community, but need to address and understand the differences (natural and cultural) in order to be efficient in the services they provide.

We have founded a Planetary Health Academy and had a first large scale Planetary Health online Lecture series from May -July 2020. We will continue this work. We participate in a growing transdisciplinary network in German speak countries related to Planetary Health.

Devon Local Nature Partnership is delighted to be part of and contribute to the Planetary Health Alliance. Through our growing partnerships we seek to protect our local and international environment, grow the green economy and help reconnect our population with nature. We hope that sharing our growing evidence base will help steer policy at all levels.

The Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown is advancing Planetary Health education and advocacy through advances in curriculum development, community engagement opportunities, and research support. We envision a collaborative community where we can train future field leaders poised to address the health challenges of the Anthropocene, foster the widest dissemination of cross-disciplinary and solutions-based scholarship in Planetary Health, and engage with community partners to make planetary health a priority for all sectors from policy to healthcare to K-12 education and more.

While Do for Children’s mandate is child centered, we recognize climate change as a key cross-cutting issue, as climate change disrupts the environment, children are being forced to grow up in an increasingly dangerous world. This is a Planetary Health crisis that threatens their health, nutrition, education, development, survival, and future.
