Laetania Belai Djandam: Indigenous Peoples, Land, and Health in Indonesia
Laetania Belai Djandam shares a powerful message on the deep connection between Indigenous Peoples, land, and health.
Laetania Belai Djandam, an Indigenous youth of Dayak Ngaju and Dayak Ma’anyan descent, climate activist, and planetary health practitioner, shares a powerful message on the deep connection between Indigenous Peoples, land, and health. She narrates a Dayak song about planetary health and plays the traditional Sapek instrument. Through music and storytelling, she calls for a radical shift in how we define health—one that recognizes its deep ties to land, culture, and the well-being of our planet.
Story arranged and filmed by the Next Generation Youth Council.
