New Podcast Spotlights Planetary Health Solutions for Germany
The new German-language podcast “Zukunft gestalten” aims to inspire collective action for a healthy and sustainable future by exploring diverse solutions at the intersection of human and planetary wellbeing.
Planetary Health Alliance member Deutsche Allianz Klimawandel und Gesundheit (KLUG), through its education platform Planetary Health Academy, has launched a new German-language podcast, Zukunft gestalten – Der Podcast über Planetary Health (Shaping the Future – The Podcast about Planetary Health).
The podcast explores how we can collectively create a healthy, just, and livable future by centering solutions at the intersection of human and planetary wellbeing. Each episode brings together diverse voices and disciplines—from astrophysics, climate journalism, and comedy to biodiversity research and neuroscience—to spark fresh, hopeful conversations about Planetary Health.
By weaving together stories of possibility, resilience, and action, the podcast helps listeners move beyond overwhelm, denial, and paralysis toward constructive pathways for change—envisioning a future in which both people and nature can thrive.
The latest episode focuses on children in the climate crisis, asking a critical question: How can we support healthy development for young people amid accelerating environmental change?
