Mauricio Ulloa Caballero is the vice president of the Student Federation in the Andrés Bello University and the official spokesperson for CONFECh (the Confederation of Chilean Students), actively participating in working groups with the Chilean government. He has developed community-based work with neighborhood associations and local organizations, in addition to participating in post-fire reforestation efforts and academic research on the lack of environmental education in fire prevention in vulnerable areas. He also has training in progressive leadership from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Chile. His interest in Planetary Health stems from epidemiology and public health, serving as an approach that connects his leadership role, his training as a future veterinarian, and his commitment to social impact.
