Rachel is a first-year doctoral candidate at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Her main research interest lies in understanding the diverse impacts of climate change on human health, with a particular focus on how environmental heat exposure affects pregnant women and their babies. She is committed to a gender-transformative Planetary Health approach that addresses extreme heat exposure while actively challenging structural gender inequalities to advance more just and equitable health outcomes. Rachel is passionate about advocating for Planetary Health and taking action at the intersection of climate, health, and social justice.
