For Young Learners

Agriculture and the Anthropocene

PHA’s and Educated Choices Program’s collaboration aims to help young people better understand the connections between human health, environmental change, and the food systems they interact with every day.

Planetary Health Alliance partnered with the Educated Choices Program (ECP), a nonprofit organization that provides food-focused education and helps learners make informed decisions about their food choices, to develop educational materials that connect the concepts of the Anthropocene, food systems, and the global environmental crisis for young learners.

We believe that introducing Planetary Health education early helps lay the foundation for lifelong environmental stewardship. It equips young people not only to understand the challenges facing our world, but also to become part of the solutions.

Planetary Health: Agriculture and the Anthropocene explores how the ways we produce and consume food affect both human health and the health of our planet. Through the lens of modern agriculture, the video examines the connections between food systems, environmental change, and human well-being, while highlighting practical solutions for a more sustainable future. Ultimately, it encourages young learners to understand the impact of their food choices and their role in creating a healthier, more resilient world.
