Recap: SSE Regional Hub July Convening

The Planetary Health Alliance South and Southeast Asia Regional Hub held its second convening on 27 July 2026, bringing together around 20 members to exchange updates and explore opportunities for regional collaboration. The session featured preparations for the Global Tipping Points Conference 2026 in Malaysia and the Planetary Health Annual Meeting 2027 in Tokyo, alongside presentations on India’s Health and Environment Leadership Platform and the Empower WASH initiative addressing women’s health, mobility and climate resilience. Discussions highlighted the importance of sustainable healthcare, interdisciplinary research, youth participation and stronger regional representation in global planetary health initiatives. Members were also encouraged to share projects, publications, funding opportunities and success stories through the Hub’s website and Linkedin platforms, strengthening visibility, knowledge exchange and collaboration across South and Southeast Asia.
