The OrcaSong Institute (OSI) is a non-profit educational organization located in the Pacific Northwest United States based on Orcas Island, Washington that cultivates leadership in eco-social change movements. OSI aims to address the climate crisis and systemic ecological concerns through educational programming, supporting community resilience, and fostering collaborative partnerships both locally and beyond.

OpEPA aims to reconnect people to the Earth to accelerate the transition to sustainable and regenerative cultures. OpEPA contributes to the mission and work of the Planetary Health Alliance by highlighting the importance of nature-based education for Planetary Health and providing approaches to incorporate it into the healing and restoring our living system.

OSVSWA as an NGO has been working on many important issues since last more than 4 decades, which includes the activities of Planetary Health like nature and natural resource management, food culture, forest and climate change, and toxics hazard management. By collaborating with Planetary Health Alliance, OSVSWA will be able to achieve the common goal of both the organizations in the state of Odisha in India.

Parkers Mobile Clinic incorporates Planetary Health in its work through family planning advocacy and advocacy for population control. We aim to collaborate with the Planetary Health community through advocacy, networking and resource mobilization.

Pedestrian Space values alliances and collaboration within the planetary health community to help communicate the vision of regenerating and protecting Earth’s natural systems and humans’ ongoing education to live holistically within the environments we inhabit.

Peoples-Praxis (https://www.peoples-praxis.org/) aims to empower graduates to extend and apply their public health skills and knowledge towards improving the health of their population through mentoring and access to online courses. We have a platform for online mentoring which would be available for those with interests in planetary health to join, and among the series of open online courses is ‘Climate change and public health’ free to access and leading to a certificate of completion.

The National Academy of Medicine, with its membership that includes some of the biggest names in science and national medicine, joins the Planetary Health Alliance to collaborate primarily in disseminating knowledge and monitoring the effects of climate and planetary changes on the human health. Through its scientific events, publications and the wide reach of its actions in Brazil, the National Academy of Medicine will act as a disseminator of true scientific information and in the interface with the Brazilian population and Latin America as a whole.

NatureServe provides authoritative knowledge about threatened biodiversity in the Americas. We focus on nearly 1/3 of the planet’s lands and freshwaters, including 7 of the 17 megadiverse countries. With approximately one billion people in 35 countries, the Americas share similar pressures that threaten the health of their species, ecosystems, and human populations. NatureServe delivers conservation data and analyses that help mitigate the negative impacts of human activities and maintain the health and functioning of ecosystem services crucial to all species.

Naturopathic Doctors for Environmental and Social Trust (NEST) is dedicated to promoting the health of all living beings, communities and the environment through sustainable and socially conscious strategies. Members are guided by naturopathic principles, and join NEST as an act of service to the wider world.

Non Toxic Communities promotes and supports organic land care practices that protect water and air and regenerate soil, creating healthy green spaces for recreation and play. Nordson Green Earth Foundation strives to improve tree equity by establishing tiny native forests and other greenspaces in the Chicagoland area–because we feel all communities deserve trees and the health, climate and social benefits they provide. Our projects use only native species which encourages natural ecology and biodiversity. In addition, our forests (by way of the Miyawaki method for native urban forest planting) reach maturity in a few decades as opposed to a few centuries. For this reason, they are a timely solution that can combat heat island and flooding effects as well as boost mental health in areas historically excluded from green infrastructure investments. We aim to collaborate with the Planetary Health community by sharing knowledge and gaining wisdom about rewilding methodology, greenspace creation and community engagement around climate action.

By permanently protecting wild forests and waters, Northeast Wilderness Trust is working towards a world of vitality, abundance, and resilience in both natural and human communities. This work is primarily achieved through wilderness conservation and stewardship but also includes: local, regional, and global partnerships; outreach and media; on-the-ground community engagement; and relationships with research teams. The Wilderness Trust looks forward to collaborating with the Planetary Health Alliance community to further the role of wilderness as an essential ingredient to the health and happiness of human and more-than-human beings, in our region and beyond.

The Nova Institute for Health is a heart-centered think tank that takes action for the good of people, places, and the planet. Our mission is to catalyze new ideas in health, explore the complex network of factors that influence health, and promote the well-being of individuals, communities, and the planet. Our vision is of a world where health is valued as our most basic and essential asset and where people, places, and the planet flourish for the benefit of all. We are building on our focus on “person health” and the context of peoples’ lives and communities (places) as well as the health of the planet we all share, because they are all interconnected. This transdisciplinary focus on Planetary Health is reflected in the work of our Scholars and Fellows and our forums, demonstration projects, and outreach.

OAPTAR is the only organization in Malaysia that does evidence-based prevention interventions for the healthy development of children and young people and for the wellbeing of families and communities. Our work is informed by developmental epidemiology, transactional and ecological factors that affect the healthy development of young people through out their developmental stages.

Our interventions reduce risk factors and promote protective factors at micro and macro levels of influence. The focus of our intervention is the whole person and includes social-emotional competencies, resilience and mental wellbeing.

The impact of climate change, environmental degradation, pollution, rapid development and loss of greenspaces and biodiversity affects mental health and general wellbeing.

By joining the Planetary Health Alliance, we aim to mainstream planetary health and advocate for policies and legislation that embeds planetary health practices into the private and public sectors. We look forward to dialogue and collaborations with PHA members.

Malaria No More envisions a world where no one dies of a mosquito bite. More than a decade into or mission, our work has contributed to historic progress toward this goal. Now, we’re mobilizing the political commitment, funding, and innovation required to achieve what would be on of the greatest humanitarian accomplishments – ending malaria within our generation.

To do that, we need to look outside infectious disease interventions only. Climate change is harming the world’s health more rapidly and severely than we ever knew, introducing new complexity to health systems around the world. The harmful effects of climate change on efforts to eliminate malaria have been evident for years. Rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns and extreme weather events complicate efforts to control the disease, and put many millions more at risk of illness and death.

The Margaret Pyke Trust promotes sexual and reproductive health and rights as a critical element of sustainable development, and therefore the inherent links between human and environmental health. We contribute to the Planetary Health community through providing expertise and sharing learnings around the roles of reproductive health, family planning, and community-led solutions in Planetary Health.

The online library MEDBOX (www.medbox.org) aims at improving lives and livelihoods by providing open-access, hands-on information and documents for health care workers, public health professionals and beyond. With a Planetary Health Toolbox, MEDBOX will provide a collection of relevant, best practice documents to support people all around the world working in this field.

MdM Belgium incorporates Planetary Health into its work through the development of One Health projects in Niger and Democratic Republic of Congo to comprehensively grasp human-animal-ecosystem interactions. We collaborate with animal scientists, environmental scientists as well as local actors (community leaders, health professionals, women, children, farmers, and livestock keepers) to mitigate vulnerabilities caused by climate exposurers, and enhancing resilience in the face of climate crises, especially concerning zoonotic diseases, and antimicrobial resistance. We wish to create an innovative consortium of professionals, and creating trusting relationships with the locals through active community engagement.
