Tarqabin Nusantara Group is dedicated to advancing Planetary Health by integrating sustainable practices and health education into our research and community projects. Through publishing high-quality research on environmental health and implementing community-based initiatives like green health clinics and sustainable agriculture programs, we aim to promote holistic well-being. We look forward to collaborating with the Planetary Health Alliance community to foster interdisciplinary research, share resources, and engage in global advocacy efforts to address the interconnected challenges of health and environmental sustainability. Together, we strive to create a healthier, more sustainable future for all.

Planetary Health strives for a young generation of professionals able to work across boundaries. Through its multi- and inter-disciplinary teaching, as well as through its research activities, the Thammasat University’s School of Global Studies contributes to Planetary Health approaches and objectives. It involves students and faculty alike in Planetary Health learning and research, and takes part in the Planetary Health Alliance in sharing ideas and materials and through participation in debates, conferences, and dissemination of PHA products.

The Big Fix Ltd is an umbrella organisation for The Big Fix Media, Blue Mountains Pluriversity, Blackheath Community Farm, and the social enterprise incubator Edgy Blue Mountains. The mission of The Big Fix is to change the story to grow a collaborative solutions-focused culture. The organisation uses a cross-sector and interdisciplinary approach to demonstrate how we can redesign our systems so that all species can thrive.

Since its first issue (October 5, 1823), the journal has strived to make science widely available so that medicine can serve, and transform society, and positively impact the lives of people. Over the past two centuries, The Lancet has sought to address urgent topics in our society, initiate debate, put science into context, and influence decision makers around the world.

The Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change is an international research collaboration, dedicated to tracking the world’s response to climate change, and the health benefits that emerge from this transition. Reporting annually in The Lancet, it will follow a series of indicators, demonstrating that this transition is possible, that it has already begun, but that more work is needed.

Diagnosis before treatment is vital. But when it comes to the climate crisis, we have done things the wrong way round so far.
Individual measures are discussed, but many people do not realize how serious and far-reaching the problem actually is. Put simply: the climate crisis is the biggest threat to human health. Unfortunately.
The foundation “Gesunde Erde – Gesunde Menschen” (Healthy Planet – Healthy People) was created in 2020 by German physician, science journalist, bestselling non-fiction author and TV host Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen to promote public awareness of the principle: healthy people can only exist on a healthy planet.
We are dedicated to this principle and are working both center stage and behind the scenes to provide the missing link: climate communication that reaches, moves and inspires people to action – with a focus on solutions, a visionary approach and a good sense of humor.

The Scottish Managed Sustainable Health Network (SMaSH) provides a mechanism though which partners can collaborate to lead and motivate change, at a pace and scale that improves sustainability, and in a way which maximises health and equity. The network contributes to Planetary Health through highlighting the role the wide public health system has to play in sustainable energy and resource use, reductions in environmental vulnerability, and realising the potential for co-benefits in human health.

Shenandoah University has long been interested in Planetary Health. We have been commended for being a “green” campus and we have several degree programs that are specifically related to Planetary Health and the impact on the health of our citizens as a result. As a member of the Planetary Health Alliance, Shenandoah University, and specifically the School of Health Professions encourages student and faculty involvement in Planetary Health Alliance events and projects.

The National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) is part of the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s preeminent museum and research complex. The Museum is dedicated to inspiring curiosity, discovery, and learning about the natural world through its unparalleled research, collections, exhibitions, and education outreach programs. Opened in 1910, the green-domed museum on the National Mall was among the first Smithsonian building constructed exclusively to house the national collections and research facilities.

We, the Sociedad Chilena de Salud Planetaria (Planetary Health Chilean Society), make this statement of collaboration with the Planetary Health Alliance, in order to express our commitment to actively participate and work together to further planetary health in Chile and worldwide. As a society, we advocate for the development of planetary health at a local and global level, promoting dialogue and reflection, as well as the development and use of science and evidence to empower people and guide policies in order to promote sustainable development. We are committed to share experiences, promote education, empower people, and actively participate in activities in order to foster planetary health

The SA Academy of Family Physicians is a professional body for family physicians in South Africa. We recognise the impact of climate change on our patients and communities in southern Africa. Joining the Planetary Health Alliance will motivate further commitment to the issue within the Academy leadership and members. We hope to inform our members more actively on the issues, both the impact of the environmental crises on public health as well as the contribution of the health services to the problems. We plan to learn from other members of the PHA on how to do this and to include our voice in advocacy through the PHA for the issues to be tackled with greater urgency on global and national levels.

The Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine (semFYC) is the Federation of 17 scientific societies of Spain. Being a very active member of the WONCA Europe, the WONCA Iberoamerican CIMF and the WONCA World organizations, the semFYC gathers 20.000 Family Doctors and promotes strong Primary Health Care systems in order to create healthier and better societes. semFYC is committed to Planetary Health and has joined the “Declaration calling for Family Doctors of the World to act on Planetary Health”. Our 20.000 Family Doctors prescribe Planetary Health every day and have become environment ambassadors.

The St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial – one of the top medical schools in the Philippines – launched a new Planetary and Global Health Program, with the vision of becoming a leading center of planetary and global health education, research, and translation in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia. The College is committed to producing future health professionals who are devoted to planetary health values and principles, and to generate knowledge and practices that will contribute to improving the health of both people and the planet.

The Stanford Center for Human and Planetary Health works towards a vision of a thriving ecosystem and healthy communities worldwide. Based at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment at the Doerr School of Sustainability and in close partnership with the School of Medicine’s Center for Innovation in Global Health, the Initiative conducts solution-oriented research, creates knowledge, trains leaders, and drives impact in human and planetary health. Four interdisciplinary areas of focus guide our research and core activities: Climate & Health, Pollution & Health, Disease Ecology in a Changing World, and Food Systems, Health & the Environment. Along with enabling research, advancing education, convening the interdisciplinary Stanford community, and supporting impact-oriented initiatives, the Center for Human and Planetary Health supports undergraduate and graduate education at Stanford through foundational planetary health coursework.

As we develop our human and planetary health work at Stanford, we look forward to sustaining nature while supporting health by: identifying and exploring new collaborations, exchanging resources, and advancing global collective planetary health priorities with other institutions.

Stanford University is building cross-campus and global partnerships to explore the intersections of human health and environment. Global health, engineering, environmental sciences, policy and other disciplines will drive educational and research opportunities for students and faculty. We look forward to dialogue and collaborations with PHA members.

SEI is an international non-profit research and policy organisation that tackles environment and development challenges critical for human health and wellbeing. Particular areas of focus include indoor and outdoor air pollution and energy alternatives; climate change implications for water and sanitation services; behaviour change and sustainable consumption patterns; and links between green space and wellbeing in urban areas.

In 2015, through a generous gift and endowment from Jim and Robin Herrnstein, Jim and Marilyn Simons, and the Della Pietra family, the Stony Brook University’s Global Health Institute (GHI) was established under the leadership of Dr. Peter Small. The institute aims to bridge and harness the expertise and interdisciplinary power of all 15 Stony Brook University schools and colleges to drive innovative health solutions in Madagascar and other developing countries.

The Uruguayan Society of Family and Community Medicine (SUMEFAC) gathers family and community physicians in Uruguay. We believe in the importance of caring for the environment as well as for the health of the people, understanding that everything is related on Earth. To best protect our patients, we are also committed to working to protect the health and vitality of our planet.

Located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health is part of Sunway University, which aspires to become the first planetary health-oriented university in the world. Through the new Centre, Sunway University will contribute to the advancement of planetary health through education, research, making knowledge accessible, and engaging with people. The Centre will pioneer the application of the planetary health approach in Asia and the Pacific, regions most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and other planetary health challenges. It will provide a space for sharing knowledge about planetary health, translating academic discourse into easily accessible information, facilitating learning, and creating solutions together with a broad range of stakeholders to effect lasting systemic change.
