Planetary Health Hub the Netherlands is a diverse group of Dutch health care professionals including doctors, nurses, scientists, teachers and students, who are working both in the national and international field. Our mission is to protect the near future on behalf of all children in the world and generations to come. We strive for an exponential acceleration of the crucial transition to a sustainable and healthy society and healthcare sector and for increasing our collective resilience through effective adaptation strategies in a rapidly changing world. We achieve our goals by:

Planetary Health Philippines or PH2 is a community of Filipino advocates, scholars, and practitioners for advancing the new discipline of Planetary Health in the Philippines. PH2 is interdisciplinary, intersectoral, intergenerational, and international, consisting of Filipinos based in the Philippines and from around the world. Together, we will cultivate Planetary Health stewardship among Filipinos through education and awareness raising; showcase ideas and innovations that push boundaries and build bridges; shape the country’s national policy and research agenda; provide a platform for creative synergies and futures-oriented solutions; and forge international collaborations to contribute to the healing and renewal of the world.

The Planetary Health Report Card (PHRC), established in 2019, is a student-led initiative evaluating planetary health content in health professional schools globally. Through a metric-based approach, PHRC engages student teams to assess institutions, foster improvements, and track progress, publishing results annually on Earth Day. Expanding rapidly, PHRC has evaluated 100+ health professional schools across 15 nations. Collaborating with planetary health and sustainability experts, PHRC aims to inspire engagement in planetary health education and sustainable healthcare, fostering a healthier future for both patients and the planet.

Our mission is to spearhead transformative action in Planetary Health, guided by the principle of Planetary Health Alliance, and analyze the intricate connections between nature and human activities through a commitment to rigorous exploration, innovative research, and collaborative initiatives. The Planetary Health Research Centre (PHRC) aims to ignite positive action and craft a resilient, sustainable planet for current and future generations by deeply understanding, actively addressing, and skillfully mitigating the intricate connections between environmental change and human well-being, we envision a world where Planetary Health takes precedence, communities thrive, and ecosystems flourish in perfect harmony.

Plant Based Treaty’s mission is to is to promote a shift towards a just, plant-based food system that would enable us to live safely within our planetary boundaries and reforest the Earth. We are creating bottom up pressure for a global Plant Based Treaty attached to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change as well as working on public education campaigns and institutional menu changes. Our tools and trainings help others understand how the food system impacts our planetary health and empower everyone to become advocates for a food system transformation. Our values incorporate deep ecology and climate justice, a democratic organizational structure, DEI, and a globally representative core team and local leadership development.

Plant-Based Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of humans, the environment and all its life forms. Our mission is to educate the public and health professionals on the evidence-based benefits of plant-based whole food nutrition for individual and Planetary Health. We wish to support and collaborate with like-minded organizations to strengthen advocacy efforts around the globe.

PBHP UK supports citizens to transition to a healthy plant-based diet. We provide education and advocacy in the UK. We educate healthcare professionals so they can support their patients and clients to adopt a healthy plant based diet. We aim to collaborate with the Planetary Health community to make plant based diet the default in healthcare institutions.

The Polynesian Voyaging Society’s (PVS) mission is to perpetuate the art and science of traditional Polynesian voyaging and the spirit of exploration through experiential educational programs that inspire students and their communities to respect and care for themselves, each other, and their natural and cultural communities. Our voyaging canoes journey around the world to discover and strengthen a global community working to save our Earth and oceans. By collaborating with the Planetary Health Alliance, PVS hopes to contribute to the wave of action toward an environmentally and culturally thriving world.

The Centre for Studies on Planetary Wellbeing, situated at Pompeu Fabra University, expresses its intention to collaborate actively as a member of the Planetary Health Alliance. Our commitment involves sustained engagement in the advocacy and dissemination of the Planetary Health concept through our Planetary Wellbeing initiative, seamlessly integrated into the educational, research, and outreach frameworks at Pompeu Fabra University. Additionally, we aspire to strengthen partnerships with fellow Alliance members, thereby enhancing the breadth and efficacy of the Planetary Health network through our contributions.

Population Media Center (PMC) combines entertaining fictional stories, aired on TV and radio, with science-driven behavior change techniques. PMC collaborates with the Planetary Health Alliance in communications, focusing on best practices in behavior change communications for Planetary Health. PMC also contributes to the evidence base for informing policy solutions for coincident human health and environmental conservation interventions.

The Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) recognises the primacy of ecosystem processes to human wellbeing. Through research, education and advocacy, it promotes the ecological and social conditions which determine societal and personal health, and works to protect and prevent damage to the natural environment.

Obrobibini Peace Complex (OPC) are united people from the Global South and the Global North who develop holistic learning centres for a new generation of regenerative leaders. We develop and apply transdisciplinary knowledge to inspire actions motivated by wisdom and compassion for our common Mother Earth and its living beings. In our two centres in Ghana, we offer practical education in the areas of organic agriculture, food processing (shelf life, value addition), herbal medicine, natural sanitation, proper waste management and renewable energy. We are looking forward to new contacts and collaborations with members of the PHA network and invite you all to our centres in Ghana if you happen to pass through, Akwaaba!

The scope of Ohio State’s Global One Health initiative’s projects includes: 1) Prevention and control of (re)-emerging zoonotic infectious diseases; 2) Collaborative approaches to prevent, detect and respond to antimicrobial resistance; 3) Development and testing of rapid, point-of-care, field-deployable detection systems; 4) Evaluation of environmental risk factors that impact agricultural food systems, chronic diseases (such as cancer) and other economic and health outcomes; 5) Development of efficient digital and virtual systems for high impact translational research, training and outreach.

OMEP (World Organisation for Early Childhood Education) Cameroon defends and promotes children’s rights, with special emphasis on education and care worldwide and a commitment to Planetary Health. We are committed to open dialogue, sharing of information, collaborating on projects, and working to advance Planetary Health.

The One Health Platform is a strategic forum of stakeholders and a scientific reference network that aims to enhance understanding of and preparedness for current and future outbreaks of zoonoses, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases in humans and animals and antimicrobial resistance. This includes the ecological and environmental factors which drive and impact on these diseases. We commit to collaborating with the Planetary Health Alliance to raise awareness about the need for an integrated approach to complex health challenges

The One Sustainable Health for All foundation aims to bring different stakeholders and networks together, including from the Planetary Health sector, to develop programmes and policies acting towards One Sustainalble Health. This mission is illustrated by an international, collaborative and inclusive effort to coordinate projectsand initiatives working towards the same goal which is universal and sustainable health for all.

OneVillage partners is a community-led development organization that aims to enhance the collective wellbeing of rural community members in Sierra Leone. We are joining PHA to engage in action-oriented discussions on the different forms that community-led conservation can take. We are particularly interested in the intersection of legal rights and land-use, and how communities can direct the preservation of their land on their own terms. We want to engage with partners to discuss what it means to measure the social impact of conservation, on an immediate local level and how that can inform conservation programming in the future. We want to see rural community members from across the global south with a louder voice in global conversations on planetary health and we aim to find like minded allies who can support and achieve this vision.

The OrcaSong Institute (OSI) is a non-profit educational organization located in the Pacific Northwest United States based on Orcas Island, Washington that cultivates leadership in eco-social change movements. OSI aims to address the climate crisis and systemic ecological concerns through educational programming, supporting community resilience, and fostering collaborative partnerships both locally and beyond.

The Oregon Health & Science University-Portland State University School of Public Health works to find enduring and sustainable solutions to today’s public health problems, and we are committed to educating students of all backgrounds who want to enter the public health field and improve lives in their communities. As a partner of the PHA we seek to collaborate in both research and educational activities that integrate the disciplines of environmental and global health.

The College of Public Health and Human Sciences (CPHHS) at Oregon State University (OSU) is at the center of the emerging “Integrated Health Sciences Initiative,” which brings together expertise from all of the university’s colleges, including Agriculture, Engineering, Business, Forestry, Earth, Oceanic, and Atmospheric Sciences, Liberal Arts, Veterinary Medicine and others to collaborate across OSU’s three signature areas of distinction: healthy earth ecosystems, healthy people, and a healthy economy (nicknamed the “three healthies”). CPHHS is home to nine academic programs in public health, human development and family sciences, nutrition, kinesiology, and global health. As part of our land-grant mission, we oversee university health extension programing in all corners of the state to foster translational and implementation sciences and partner with communities to improve population health and health equity.

OpEPA aims to reconnect people to the Earth to accelerate the transition to sustainable and regenerative cultures. OpEPA contributes to the mission and work of the Planetary Health Alliance by highlighting the importance of nature-based education for Planetary Health and providing approaches to incorporate it into the healing and restoring our living system.
