Andreea Mihaela Butnaru holds a medical degree and is currently a second-year Public Health resident in Italy, working in a research-oriented university department and in hospital settings. During her residency, she has had the opportunity to conduct research on various projects, particularly focusing on the social determinants of health and the intersection between human health and the environment.
She is an active member of a youth working group within the Italian Scientific Society of Public Health, dedicated to climate change and planetary health, as well as of ISDE, an organization of physicians committed to promoting Planetary Health.
