Next Generation Youth Council Member

Jibola Raheem is a plant ecology and biodiversity conservation researcher with a focus on the ecological and socio-economic impacts of climate change. His research highlights how climate change alters the flow of materials and energy within ecosystems, as well as the connection between forest ecosystems, climate change, and the socio-economic status of human communities.

Jibola served as a two-time campus ambassador at the University of Ibadan. He actively promoted planetary health literacy within and outside his university community. After being reappointed in 2023, he oversaw the Planetary Health and Early Childhood Education campaign, collaborating with Campus Ambassadors from the West African subcontinent to promote environmental education and sustainability.

His research intersects ecology, biodiversity management, conservation, and policy. He looks forward to working as an ecology professor and researcher.
