Kelly Perry

Planetary Health Campus Ambassador

Duke University, United States

Kelly is a Thai American researcher and advocate whose work sits at the intersection of planetary health, climate change, and environmental justice. As a PhD student at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, she studies how adverse environmental exposures (e.g., air pollution, extreme heat, and wildfires) drive mental and physical health inequities, particularly in disenfranchised and climate-vulnerable communities. Her research integrates health equity and environmental justice to inform public health communication, disaster preparedness, and policies aimed at reducing climate-related disease disparities. Drawing on transnational experience across Asia, Africa, and the United States, she advances community-engaged, planetary health–oriented solutions that address the socio-ecological drivers of health in a rapidly changing climate.
