Martin Harvolk works as a research assistant at the Department of Planetary and Public Health at the University of Bayreuth, where he is pursuing a doctoral degree on the topic of digital education in Planetary Health.

After completing high school, he undertook a voluntary social year followed by training as a paramedic. Currently, he is in the clinical phase of his medical studies and works part-time in emergency services.

Additionally, he is a freelance writer for a publishing house, focusing on topics related to medicine, economics, and digitization. One of his most formative experiences was an overseas internship in Nepal, which he combined with a training program in Germany aimed at improving pre-hospital care in Nepal.

This period sparked his interest in global health systems. After completing his medical studies, he plans to pursue further education in Public Health to advance other projects.
