Co-Flourish is a social impact venture that empowers community-led nature-based solutions with transparent, Planetary Health–aligned impact measurement across climate, biodiversity, health, and equity. We apply this lens in all projects—for example, supporting community beekeeping for income and mental well-being in Tigray, Ethiopia, and co-developing youth-led integrated waste management and mangrove restoration in Zanzibar. As members of the Planetary Health Alliance, we will contribute open case studies, practical indicator toolkits, and training modules on theories of change, mixed-methods evaluation (including intangible impacts), and evidence translation for policy and finance. We seek active collaboration with PHA staff and members through regular knowledge exchange, matchmaking with locally rooted implementers and researchers, and co-creation of feasible, comparable metrics that strengthen financing pathways for high-integrity, health-positive nature projects worldwide.

Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Hungary’s largest and oldest university, is committed to advancing knowledge through research, education, and international collaboration. As a partner in the CHARM-EU alliance, ELTE is co-developing a joint master’s programme in Planetary Health, embedding sustainability, ecological resilience, and global health into higher education curricula. Through interdisciplinary teaching, research, and community engagement, ELTE intends to integrate planetary health principles across its academic portfolio and fosters awareness at local and regional levels. By joining the Planetary Health Alliance, ELTE aims to share educational resources, collaborate on research and events, and act as a bridge to broaden participation from Central and Eastern Europe, contributing actively to the global planetary health movement.

EuroNet MRPH (European Network of Medical Residents in Public Health) is a non-profit, international, independent, and non-governmental association that brings together European National associations of Public Health training programs, including both medical and non-medical residents. Our mission is to create a professional network among Public Health residents across Europe, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, sharing educational resources, and developing scientific research. By integrating Planetary Health principles into the training of future public health professionals, we aim to empower residents with the tools to address the health challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation. As a member of the Planetary Health Alliance, we look forward to collaborating with the global community, amplifying the voices of young European professionals, and advancing initiatives that promote a sustainable and healthier future for all.

Sustainable Health in Partnership (SHIP) is a transdisciplinary platform that strengthens and accelerates initiatives tackling complex global challenges that affect health. The platform is a collaboration between Karolinska Institutet, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Umeå University, Uppsala University, and Örebro University.

Over the past year, SHIP has launched a thematic track aimed at breaking down silos and fostering collaboration across public health, global health, One Health and planetary health. The initiative identifies both conceptual and communicative meeting points, building a foundation for deeper integration and shared learning.

One of SHIP’s overarching goals is to drive long-term transformation through innovative and scalable solutions to urgent challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, and inequality — advancing sustainable health for people and the planet.

Lovexair Foundation is committed to advancing planetary health by addressing the links between environmental exposures, air quality, climate impacts, and human wellbeing through digital innovation and collaborative action. Our initiatives, such as the HappyAir Ecosystem and CheckAir tool, integrate environmental awareness with health promotion to build more resilient communities across the world. EquiRoots Climate Collective aims to build community climate resilience at the level of cities and bioregions. Through initiatives such as City Climate Cafés and bioregional water programs, we empower communities, cities, and companies to co-create solutions for climate adaptation and holistic health. By joining the Planetary Health Alliance, we seek to collaborate with members to co-develop educational programs, share best practices, and access resources that strengthen transformational initiatives connecting planetary, community, and individual health. We aim to integrate Planetary Health into our work by linking individual well-being with community and bioregional resilience, focusing on water, air, and soil quality.

PAN International is a global medical non-profit advancing nutrition in healthcare and medical education to reduce diet-related deaths while improving both personal and planetary health. By integrating Planetary Health principles across initiatives like the Green Food Experience, Healthy Hospital Food, and our Dietary Guidelines Initiative, we connect sustainable nutrition with climate action and systemic health reform. As an accredited UNFCCC observer, we bring nutrition into global climate dialogues and advocate for policies that protect people and the planet. Through the Planetary Health Alliance, we look forward to co-creating education, advocacy, and research collaborations that empower healthcare professionals, students, and communities to drive systemic change.

The climate and environmental emergency is a direct threat to human and planetary health and yet this is still poorly recognised across the healthcare value chain (professionals, employers and suppliers).

Health is a fundamental right of every human being; recognized in the WHO Constitution (1948), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) and many international and regional human rights treaties. We need good health to not just survive and thrive but to mitigate, adapt and innovate to fight the climate and environmental emergency. Our health is everything and right now, we need good health more than ever. The need for a healthy workforce extends beyond healthcare as all industries will become increasingly vulnerable as the emergency worsens.

CPDmatch is a not-for-profit website for healthcare professionals, employing organisations and those working in supplier industries to find the education required to deliver environmentally sustainable healthcare. Our goal is for all within the healthcare value chain to be confident in acting, communicating and inspiring others to tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution and loss of biodiversity. Planetary health is one of our education categories.

Through CPDmatch, we will showcase the work undertaken and education delivered by the Planetary Health Alliance and member organisations. This will increase the reach and engagement with all forms of education, increasing climate and environmental literacy. In return, the traffic we receive will help increase CPDmatch’s domain authority with search engines which in turn, will result in more traffic to the PHA and member websites.

We believe collaboration is the only way forward as for climate and environmental emergency, we all cross the line together or none of us cross it at all.

At Treeming, we are committed to promoting health in the holistic sense of Planetary Health – supporting both human and ecological well-being. Our contribution focuses on integrating Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) as a powerful method of healing in an increasingly digital and overstimulated world. To make the many physical, mental, and social benefits of this practice accessible, we are developing an affordable online training program that combines theory with a wide range of practical exercises. Our goal is to make the art of forest bathing available to everyone, regardless of location or background. We seek active collaboration with the Planetary Health community to establish nature connection as a key element of sustainable health strategies and to co-create a more resilient, thriving future for people and the planet.

Recognizing the deep connections between human, animal, and environmental health, IDA integrates Planetary Health principles across its committees and activities, such as the Infectious Disease Policy Journal and global policy dialogues on AMR and climate-sensitive diseases. Norwegian Doctors for Planetary Health (Legenes klimaaksjon) is a network of engaged health care workers and students who believe a good environment is the ultimate key to good health. Our purpose is to inform about the health consequences of global warming and destruction of nature and biodiversity, and work to limit these through political, economic and structural measures. We do so by cooperating with other environmental groups and activists, engage in political processes and raising awareness among our peers and the public as whole. Our vision is a healthier and more just world.

Zero Water Day Partnership is a NGO registered in Germany and works with national, European and international partners to promote action in the 5 areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet. ZWDP areas of work cover will feed into PHA networks and activities, including policy and advocacy with a focus on planetary and human health in all polices and youth engagement, a whole schools – whole community approach for environmental and social determinants of health education, and action by creating water walks in support of the ZWDP Saving the World’s Water Towers campaign.

The Unit of Hygiene at the University of Pavia integrates Planetary Health concepts into its specialized training of MD residents, PhD students, and researchers, emphasising the interconnections among human, animal, and environmental well-being. We coordinate a national PhD programme in One Health approaches to infectious diseases and life science research, conduct collaborative research projects, and develop educational initiatives such as summer schools to foster interdisciplinary expertise. By working closely with the Planetary Health Alliance community, we strive to expand our global reach, share resources, and develop innovative solutions to pressing health challenges. We are committed to strengthening evidence-based strategies that inform policy and practice, ensuring a healthier future for our planet and its populations.

ESSRG incorporates planetary health perspectives into its work by focusing on the interconnectedness of human health, ecological resilience and social justice. Our approach ties the health of the planet to the well-being of individuals and communities, reflecting our commitment to addressing the complex socio-ecological challenges, cultivating cross-boundary research in a transdisciplinary fashion, engaging in multi-actor democratic dialogue with natural and social sciences and other knowledge systems.

Planetary Health Challenge is a recent grassroots organization in North of Italy with the goal of tackling air pollution in the region working with local communities and a transdisciplinary pool of experts. Our first steps are about action research, radical listening, and co-construction of a theory of change. The hope is to reinforce current CSOs and other actors’ ongoing efforts for air quality from a systemic perspective. We believe in the dialogue between diverse epistemologies and diverse actors for shared engagement for climate action.
