Laetania Belai Djandam

Laetania Belai Djandam, an Indigenous youth of Dayak Ngaju and Dayak Ma’anyan descent, climate activist, and planetary health practitioner, shares a powerful message on the deep connection between Indigenous Peoples, land, and health. She narrates a Dayak song about planetary health and plays the traditional Sapek instrument. Through music and storytelling, she calls for a radical shift in how we define health—one that recognizes its deep ties to land, culture, and the well-being of our planet.

Dr. Daniela Lempertz is a child and adolescent psychotherapist who provided first-response and follow-up care for people affected by posttraumatic stress symptoms in the aftermath of the Ahr Valley flood in Western Germany 2021. She talks about her therapeutic work with children, helpful resources and international cooperation for rapid psychological support after extreme weather events, and finally shares advice she gave to an 8-year old boy anxious about converging global crises.
